Habitat Cabarrus was founded in 1989 by local churches. Through faith, innovation and passion, and thanks to the support of countless community partners, volunteers, donors and advocates, Habitat Cabarrus has made a significant impact in Cabarrus County since its founding.  Guided by God, Habitat Cabarrus transforms lives and our community by uniting all of Cabarrus County around the cause of decent, affordable housing for everyone. Habitat Cabarrus strives to be an organization of excellence that demonstrates the love and teachings of Jesus Christ by working in partnership with the community to mobilize resources and eliminate substandard housing in Cabarrus County.

Habitat for Humanity and its affiliate organizations will not proselytize. Nor will Habitat work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with Habitat. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.

Habitat for Humanity partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Through our Strategic Plan, Habitat for Humanity will serve more people than ever before through decent and affordable housing.

Decent Housing By All and For All

Habitat Cabarrus has an open-door policy: all who believe that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to be a part of the organization’s work regardless of race, religion, age, gender, politics or any other distinction that too often divides people. In short, Habitat Cabarrus welcomes volunteers, supporters and potential homeowners from all backgrounds.
