Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County is a non-profit Christian housing ministry. Since our founding by local churches in 1989 (through June 30, 2018) Habitat Cabarrus has built 154 new houses, completed rehab work, home repairs or weatherization work on 237 houses and has served 24 families in transitional housing. A total of 1136 people, including 522 children have benefitted from Habitat Cabarrus’ work in our community.
Coni is a hard-working single mother of three. She, her son, and two daughters share a two (2) bedroom apartment. It’s a good thing this family it tight-knit because two bedrooms don’t provide a great amount of privacy. But tight quarters are only part of the reason Coni began the Habitat homeownership program.
