Is the ReStore open to the public?
Absolutely! We invite everyone to shop with us!
Who can donate to the ReStore?
Everyone - individuals, contractors, suppliers, designers, schools and businesses, to name a few.
What type of items do you accept?
Appliances in working order with no repairs needed, building materials (cabinets, electrical supplies, wall coverings [new paint, wall paper and borders], windows,
What type of items do you not accept?
Broken or soiled items, clothing, used paint, gas appliances, shower doors, sliding glass doors, bedding, mattresses, water beds, sofa beds, complete metal desks, console TVs, exercise equipment, water heaters, dry wall, pianos and built-in appliances (except drop-in stoves).
Will you pick-up my items?
Yes, you can arrange pick-up for large items by calling us at (704)786-4000. Other items cans be delivered to the loading dock during business hours, and our volunteers will help you unload them.
What are the benefits of donating?
Donations are tax deductible (to the fullest extent allowed by law), and ReStore’s concept of reuse/recycle benefits the environment, while advancing the fight against substandard housing in Cabarrus County.
Additionally for businesses, you can remove un-sellable items from your floor space and reduce dumpster pick up fees. You will be given a receipt for your items for tax purposes when they are picked up or dropped off.
Where do the profits go from sales?
All profits are used to fund the building of new Habitat homes in our community. In April 2007, we dedicated the first Habitat house built from profits generated from ReStore sales and are looking forward to building many more in the future.
How can I volunteer to work at ReStore?
