The Habitat Cabarrus ReStore, located in Kannapolis on Highway 29 collects gently used furniture, household items, and building material donations and resells them to customers at a reduced cost. Volunteers are needed daily to help unload and process donations, design store displays, provide customer service, and work the cash-wrap area. The ReStore welcomes volunteers during any portion of their open hours.

ReStore Volunteer FAQ’s

What is my commitment?
Your commitment is up to you! ReStore volunteers are needed daily, so your assistance is always welcome. We ask that volunteers working the cash-wrap area, however, are trained, regular volunteers.

What skills are required?
No specific skills are required to work at the ReStore. Retail experience is handy, but certainly not necessary. ReStore staff will work with volunteers to find a position to best fit each individual’s interests and skills.

What do I need to bring?
Water is provided for volunteers at the ReStore. If you are planning to work through lunch time, you may bring a bag lunch and store it in the ReStore refrigerator.

What do I need to wear?
ReStore volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes.

Is there an age limit to volunteer?
ReStore volunteers must be age 16 or older.
